本專書計畫的主題是對同性戀與性／別研究概念系統之批判揚棄，以重新建構的男色概念系統或理論取代。這個主題同時需要對西方同性戀概念系統（包括性別與性）的發明建構歷程與理論問題加以闡釋，還有對於中國男色的歷史起源與文本解讀進行梳理，最終則分析性／別與同性戀概念的現實效應，說明揚棄之政治理由。如此複雜的主題與對整個研究領域有範式更新意義的計畫，應該以書的形式進行更從容與厚實的表達，故而有專書為期三年的寫作計畫。內容將分成四部份（對應全書四章結構）：一、西方同性戀的建構理論的發明和緣起，同性戀的殖民主義擴散與東方主義二、藉由與同性戀的比較，深度闡發男色理論，說明與現有性哲學的差異，旁及對性／別研究基礎觀念的批判三、中國男色的歷史與文學的深入探討，顯示中國男色發明時刻與特色（中國早期現代性）。參照比較伊斯蘭世界男色四、同性婚姻、出櫃、同妻以及國際同性戀相關的粉飾與同性戀民族主義等爭議，以顯示目前同性戀身分政治及其不滿。本計畫與本人過去科技部計畫的關係，參看表CM03（一）第八節。 ;The main theme of this book project is a sublation of homosexuality by the new conceptual system based on nanse, and at the same time a critique of the conceptual system and politics of gender/sexuality study. The book content is divided basically into four parts: (i) an introduction to the book project and especially a preliminary comparison between the concept of homosexuality and nanse. (ii) an elaboration of a nanse's theory by way of criticizing the concept of homosexuality and the related concepts such as gender, sexuality, trans-gender, etc. (iii) An investigation into the invention of Chinese nanse and its politics and also an introduction to the nanse's literature as well as its historical background. This part will also include a small section of a limited study of Islamicate "nanse" phenomenon for the comparison purpose. (iv) Same-sex marriage and pink-washing controversies shall serve as illustrations of the politics of homosexuality and its discontent. The purpose of this part is to demonstrate the political necessity to explore the new concept (nanse) and overcome or forget homosexuality and its related conceptual system.
