    Title: 高密度共振腔光纖通訊之研究;Study of High Dense Resonator Cavity Optical Fiber Communication

    Abstract: 本文主要在探討高速光纖傳輸之高密度分波多工系統模組中,塞取多工器及光波長間隔器之研製與特性。在塞取多工部份利用光纖光柵搭配相關光元件,設計出光傳輸信號塞取多工器,並分析探討光傳輸信號塞取多工器之傳輸特性,首先我們提出若干種光傳輸信號塞取多工之光路架構,並分析各架構之光損失、功率補償,對取出、穿透及塞入信號、OSA監控測試實驗使用光纖布拉格光柵製作,固定式光傳輸信號塞取多工器與可重構式光傳輸信號塞取多工器。首先介紹自製光纖光柵的製作程序,從曝光、退火機制、溫度補償到封裝程序,我們亦展示利用數個自製波長可調光纖光柵涵蓋整個C-band波長之效果,目前自製光纖光柵反射率可99%以上。稜鏡式環形共振腔偏振光干涉型光波長間隔器。稜鏡式環形共振腔偏振光干涉型架構之光波長間隔器實驗結果,再25GHz頻道間距其0.5-dB帶通寬度大於0.14nm 70%頻道間距、25-dB截止寬度大於0.14nm 70%頻道間距、隔離度高達28dB及插入損失低於2.2dB。稜鏡式環形共振腔沙克那克干涉型光波長間隔器。再25GHz頻道間距時,使用稜鏡式環形共振腔沙克那克干涉型光波長間隔器其0.5-dB帶通寬度大於0.145nm 72.5%頻道間距、25-dB截止寬度大於0.145nm、隔離度高達36dB及插入損失低於1.5dB 72.5%頻道間距。   稜鏡式環形共振腔偏振光干涉型與稜鏡式環形共振腔沙克那克干涉型架構比較之光波長間隔器實驗結果,所使用之光學元件較少為稜鏡式環形共振腔沙克那克型光波長間隔器,同時可得較高之隔離度及較低之插入損失,再頻寬利用上增加了2.5%,其0.5dB帶通寬度及25-dB截止寬度具有較寬特性,插入損失上減少了0.7dB,在頻道隔離度上增加了8dB。因此較適合應用於高密度分波多工系統為稜鏡式環形共振腔沙克那克型架構之光波長間隔器。 The research relates to manufacturing process and characteristics of an add/drop multiplexer and interleaver in a dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system module for high-speed optical fiber transmission. The design of the optical add/drop multiplexer (OADM) includes fiber grating and associated related optical elements. The characteristics of the optical add/drop multiplexer are also analyzed and investigated. At first, we address several structures of the optical add/drop multiplexer, analyze the optical loss and power compensation, and using fiber Bragg grating (FBG) to manufacture fixed OADM and reconfigurable OADM in drop, add, and add/drop signals and OSA monitor test. The manufacturing process of the optical fiber grating is also introduced, including exposure, annealing, temperature compensation, and package. The obtained optical fiber gratings can cover the entire C-band wavelength and have a reflectance grater than 99%. In the high dense ring-cavity based birefringent interferometer HDRCBI interleaver, the spectral transmission characteristics of the interleaver with a 25-GHz channel spacing exhibits a 0.5-dB passband larger than 0.14nm 70% of the channel spacing , a 25-dB stopband greater than 0.14nm 70% of the channel spacing , a channel isolation better than 28dB,and insertion loss lower than 2.2dB. In the high dense ring-cavity based birefringent Sagnac interferometer HDRCBSI interleaver, the spectral transmission characteristics of the interleaver with a 25-GHz channel spacing exhibits a 0.5-dB passdand larger than 0.145nm 72.5% of the channel spacing , a 25-dB stopband greater than 0.145nm a channel isolation better than 36dB, and insertion loss lower than 1.5dB 72.5% of the channel spacing .   The high dense ring-cavity based birefringent Sagnac interferometer interleaver requires less number of optical components and hence resulte in more than 0.7dB and 2.5% improvements in the insertion loss and band utilization, respectively, when compared to the in high dense ring-cavity based birefringent interferometer interleaver. Therefore, the can be used dense wavelength division multiplexing(DWDM)applicztions in novel high dense ring-cavity based birefringent Sagnac interferometer interleaver.
