    Abstract: 本文主要討論光纖與無線接取網路的整合,目的在於提供多元應用服務類型傳輸的品值服務保證(quality of service, QoS)。 WiMAX與被動式乙太光纖網路(EPON)為目前兩種重要的接取式網路,它們設計來提供更大的傳輸頻寬,更多元的應用服務像是VoIP、IPTV和VoD 等等;另一方面WiMAX所提供的無線傳輸技術(last mile)以及QoS機制讓使用者可以隨時隨地上網,EPON則是能佈署較廣的通訊範圍以及提供較大的頻寬。因此整合這兩種網路(ONU-BS)將可以有效的結合它們的優點,朝向固定式與行動式網路服務的目標進行整合(fixed-mobile convergence, FMC)。 針對本文的研究,在整合有線與無線網路的問題在於討論頻寬分配,有線網路通常只需要考慮到流量瞬時大小和佇列的狀態。無線網路因為受通道狀況影響容易形成多重路徑的訊號衰減(fading),因此本文提出一有效的動態頻寬管理(dynamic bandwidth allocation,DBA),考慮不同的資料類型(service-class)以及通道狀況(channel-condition)來分配頻寬,並且加入虛擬佇列(virtual-queue)以記錄各個使用者的頻寬使用情況,來做為分配的依據。本文的目標在於頻寬的分配上能有效的提供差異化服務以及針對WiMAX所提供QoS參數進行分配,配合所設計的頻寬分配機制以發揮最佳的頻寬使用率、單位生產量、以及保障不同應用服務所需的QoS參數。 This study investigates the integration of fiber and WiMAX networks for the provision of quality of service (QoS) applications. The hybrid EPON and WiMAX architecture is studies to further realize the ambition of fixed mobile convergence (FMC). We assume the ONU of EPON and the WiMAX BS are tightly integrated as the ONU-BS for better resource management. In order to provide QoS management, we propose a dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) algorithm for the above hybrid architecture to achieve efficient traffic scheduling by taking the channel condition and QoS requirement into consideration. The QoS categories defined in EPON and WiMAX connections are properly mapped and arranged for the achievement of better resource utilization and the satisfaction of connection demands. The Virtual Queue concept is applied in the proposed algorithm to allocate resource by using the principle of proportional fairness for the smooth uplink transmissions over the integrated hybrid network. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is examined through simulations to understand the satisfaction of different QoS requirements. The QoS parameters of RT, NRT, and BE traffic between SS and ONU-BS are measured and the resource allocated between ONU-BS and OLT are comparatively studied and analyzed. Our simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can meet the desired objective.
