    Abstract: 近年許多工作專注於磁鞘電漿噴流對地球磁層及電離層的衝擊影響。噴流的定義為可跨越磁鞘流線傳播的快速電漿流,且此噴流會與磁層頂作用導致磁層頂局部壓縮及波動,並會使磁鞘電漿進入磁層之中。一般假設噴流會造成如:日側磁層頂局部磁重聯、地磁改變及極光沉降等多種效應,但卻仍無直接觀測證據顯示各現象彼此間的關連。近期如THEMIS及MMS衛星任務都能提供許多關於磁鞘噴流的新的觀測數據,因此本計畫欲使用這些觀測資料檢視及驗證上述各現象之間的關聯性。本計畫的研究結果將能對了解安靜地磁情況下的磁層及電離層的擾動情形提供重要資訊 ;During recent years, a lot of attention was paid for impact of magnetosheath plasma jets on the magnetosphere and ionosphere. A jet is defined as a fast plasma stream which can propagate across the magnetosheath stream lines and interact with the magnetopause. The interaction results in localized compression and undulation of the magnetopause and penetration of the magnetosheath plasma inside the magnetosphere. It is assumed that jets can cause various effects such as local reconnection at the dayside magnetopause, geomagnetic variations and auroral precipitations. However, there are still no direct observational evidences of the connection. Recently, a lot of new experimental data on magnetosheath jets became available from the THEMIS and MMS missions. It is proposed to use these data for experimental verifications of the assumptions. The new findings will be very important for understanding of magnetospheric and ionospheric perturbations under undisturbed geomagnetic conditions.
