;It can be easily deduced from the title that The Dream of the Red Chamber novel includes a lot of visual elements and imageries. This paper "Names and Visuals" strategically discusses the 3 alternate titles of the novel, and separately interprets the visual writing of different aspects among them. The title indicates the paper will focus heavily on the ′Red′ element of The Dream of the Red Chamber, the ′Mirror′ element of A Mirror for the Romantic, and lastly the ′Eye′ element of The Story of the Stone. This article follows this path and explores the role of visual elements, visual objects, and even visual organs in the text at the narrative, symbolic, and implied levels, and sees the inheritance and innovation of traditional resources in the novel, and then explores the novelist’s advanced futuristic imagination. Furthermore, the author also responded to Lu Xun′s statement of "creating different names and interpretations" through this paper. While referring to Zhi Yan Zhai′s criticism and foundation of previous scholars, this paper carefully examines the text of the novel, and further develops and supplements it, hoping to re-propose a new interpretation of the classics of The Dream of the Red Chamber.
