    Abstract: 在本論文中,我們提出了一個在無線行動隨建即連網路的分散式具位置知覺之多重頻道媒體存取協定。此協定的頻道分配方式主要是使用另一篇論文GRID 所提的分配方式。每個行動主機配備一個全球定位系統而得知它目前所在的位置,依照它目前所在的位置,每個行動主機可以很容易地決定它要使用那一個頻道來傳送資料。藉由考量行動主機的密度和封包到達的速率即想要傳送資料的多寡,我們進一步來研究和探討每個行動主機傳輸半徑及grid的大小。因此,頻道將被更有效率地重覆使用。然後,我們提出一個新的多重頻道媒體存取協定,此協定有幾個特性:(i) 藉由分散式的方式,行動主機間不需要任何同步的機制,(ii) 整個擠在控制頻道的負載將被分散到全部的grid 所擁有的頻道上,所以,網路的效能就顯著地增加了,(iii) 每個行動主機只在有需要的時候才佔用某一個頻道來傳送接收資料,(iv) 所需頻道的數目和整個網路的拓撲無關。模擬的結果顯示出我們所提協定的效能比GRID 及802.11 協定的效能好。 This thesis proposes a distributed location-aware multi-channel MAC protocol for mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). The channel assignment of our protocol is based on GRID[23], by which a mobile host can easily determine which channel to use according to its current location. We further investigate them by taking host density and arrival rate into consideration. Thus, channels will be reuse efficiently. We then propose a new multi-channel MAC protocol, which is characterized by some features: (i) based on distributed mechanism, it doesn’t require any form of synchronization among mobile hosts, (ii)total traffic load will be distributed over all girds, therefore, network throughput will be increased significantly, (iii) it follows an “on-demand” style to access the medium and thus a mobile host will occupy a channel only when necessary, and (iv) the number of channels required is independent of the network topology. Simulation results show that the throughput of our protocol is superior to the GRID and IEEE 802.11.
