Abstract:	在當代學術研究之中，族群和移民領域的過程、性質、功能及其在地化的發展，是一個至關重要的跨領域研究議題，本計畫成果，將可作為全面性建構馬來西亞客家∕華人族群文化與在地社會發展的相關理論，並進一步與台灣相關研究進行比較。並將理論帶回台灣歷史社會的脈絡中思考，以取得多元族群的平衡，推動強調「同中有異」、「異中有同」的生活方式和認同架構。本研究希望將研究成果，進一步貢獻在於建構多重認同下的馬來西亞客家╱華人的地方社會形構，找出新的推動社會往前發展的力量，使這些不同於全球化的歷史推力，能夠成為客家∕華人∕在地社會面對全球族群認同發展的新思考架構。
