    Abstract: 近年來,隨著無線網路的蓬勃發展,Wi-Fi 也已經佈建在我們生活的四周,但是面對如此日益擴大的無線區域網路,存在一些讓網路管理人員相當頭痛的問題,例如在同一個無線區域網路下,存在數量相當可觀的基地台 (Access Point,簡稱AP),如何有效且一致性的管理這些 AP 已成為一個相當重要的議題,利用 AP 之間的無線訊號來做為另一個傳輸迴路,是本論文設計的重點。 網路處理器 (Network Processor,簡稱 NP) 已漸漸取代傳統以 ASIC 為主要來處理用戶層面 (User plane) 封包的另一可程式化的選擇。它利用協同處理器 (Coprocessors) 協助處理原本一般用途處理器 (General-purpose processor) 所負責的用戶層面的封包,所以 NP 同時能增加程式化及提昇封包處理效能。 在本論文中我們提出以網路處理器 (Network Processor) 設計與實作基於多重連線的無線網路控制器 (Multihoming-based Wireless Network Controllers),使用 NP 的有線和無線介面管理和控制所連接的 AP,並且置入網路切換代理人 (Network Switch Agent) 於 AP 內,用來切換至較佳的網路介面。本系統也提供網頁管理介面顯示即時的網路拓撲,並且透過測量模組在網頁上提供即時的 NP 效能測量,當本系統發現某 AP 乙太網路介面無法建立連線時能透過 NP 上的無線網卡或其他 AP 的無線連接來遞送封包給此 AP,並且將此網路故障資訊存入資料庫中,以便網管人員事後檢視歷史紀錄或是製作相關報,提高網路故障管理之效率。 In recent years, with the flourishing development of the wireless network, Wi-Fi is deployed and built around us, but facing the wireless network expanding day by day, there are some problem making network manager quite troublesome. For example, how to effectively and consistently manage a large amount of APs under a wireless network has already become quite an important topic. Using wireless signal between APs to make another transmit path is the focal point of this paper in design. NP is programmable and another choice to replace ASIC which processes the packet of user plane gradually. It utilizes coprocessors to help dealing with the original packet processed by a general-purpose processor, so NP can increase the scalability and efficiency at the same time. In this paper, we propose a design and implementation for multihoming-based wireless network controllers, use the wired and wireless interface of NP to manage and control AP , and put network switch agent for switch over to the better network in AP. This system also supports the webpage management interface to show the network topology immediately, and NP efficiency measurement immediately on the webpage through measurement model. When the system find some AP’s wired interface unable to make a connection, can connect to this AP by NP’s wireless network card or other AP’s wireless link to send packet to this AP, and store this network trouble information in the database, so that network manager looks over the historical record or make relevant newspapers afterwards, raising the efficiency of fault management of the network.
