慢性阻塞性肺疾病是最常見的呼吸系統疾病之一，其特徵在於呼吸氣流受限，是不可逆的。近年研究顯示，慢性阻塞性肺疾病增加了得到牙周病的風險。因此，本研究擬利用台灣全民健保研究資料庫之資料，針對20-99歲的病患探討慢性阻塞性肺病患是否比非慢性阻塞性肺病患增加牙周病的風險。研究結果顯示，慢性阻塞性肺病患與非慢性阻塞性肺病患相比，慢性阻塞性肺病患有顯著增加牙周病風險 (HR =1.107, 95% CI=1.028-1.192)。且慢性阻塞性肺病患，若患有骨質疏鬆症或肝臟疾病，又會比一般的慢性阻塞性肺病患風險更高。

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most common respiratory diseases which characterized by airflow limitation that is not fully reversible. Recent studies have shown that COPD increases the risk of periodontal disease. Therefore, this study intends to use the information in Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database to explore whether patients with COPD increased risk of periodontal disease than non-COPD patients and effects of PD if patients have specific comorbidity. The results showed that patients with COPD compared with non-COPD patients significantly increases the risk of periodontal disease (aHR=1.107, 95% CI=1.028-1.192). Furthermore, COPD patients with these comorbidities, osteoporosis、liver disease will increase the risk of PD.
