    Abstract: 由於半導體光電產業近年來蓬勃發展,使得數位家庭的藍圖逐漸實現於現今的生活中,近年來高畫質電視逐漸盛行,而相關LCD 面版在技術上也有相對應的支援,目前對於高畫質的視訊傳輸也有制訂所屬的標準,如HDMI 及DVI 等,但是在數位家庭中勢必會有許多的多媒體數位播放裝置,如setup-box、Blue-ray disc player、PS3 及多媒體個人電腦等,除此之外在顯示裝置也會有如數位多媒體液晶電視、液晶顯示器及液晶投影機等,但是每一種播放裝置都會有各自的傳輸標準,這將會使得播放裝置和顯示裝置在傳輸的標準整合上呈現瓶頸。因此本計畫針對上述的瓶頸提出一個『適用於數位家庭整合之無線高畫質視訊傳輸技術』,此全新的標準所涵蓋的視訊規格從HDTV720p(1280x720)到QFHD(3840x2160)及播放率從30Hz 到120Hz 的範疇,甚至包括目前高畫質數位家庭中的HDMI 規格予以無線化。本計畫所涵蓋有四項主要技術,(1)嵌入式壓縮核心、(2)錯誤更正碼技術、(3)無線通信傳輸技術及(4)嵌入式處理器技術。尤其為了適應多種規格的高畫質影像傳輸,嵌入式處理器將發揮其可調整性之特性,執行可變性的影像壓縮軟體機制,搭配其他硬體機制的MIMO-OFDM 無線通信傳輸技術與錯誤更正碼技術,達成一軟硬體共同設計的全新應用。另外因為所要處理的資料頻寬會包含高畫質的顯示規格及高速的畫面更新頻率,因此本計畫所涵蓋的相關技術在演算法方面都必須要朝向低複雜度及高平行度的考量去開發,同時在相關硬體架構設計上也必須顧及到高速(high speed)及高產出(high throughput)的特性,以求得整體系統應用之最佳化表現。藉由此計畫所開發之傳輸標準,將可以解決異質多媒體視訊傳輸標準於數位家庭發展中所帶來的瓶頸。 Owing to the rapid progress of semiconductor industry, the vision of Digital Home is getting more and more real in modern life. In recent years, the requirement of HDTV service is driving the innovation on LCD panel technology. For this reason, many high speed transmission standards, such as High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and Digital Visual Interface (DVI), are proposed by various alliances composed of many famous electronic companies. For Digital Home, the multimedia source comes from various media player, such as setup-box, Blue-ray disc player, PS3 and personal computer. Beside, the display media is also with this diversity, such as HDTV, LCD projector and LCD monitor. At present, the proposed corresponding transmission standards are dedicated for some media players, not compatible for other applications, and this will be a bottleneck for integration of various multimedia electronic systems for Digital Home. The main purpose of this project is to develop a wireless high speed video transmission standard compatible for various digital media player and display media. This project can support various display resolution from HDTV720p (1280x720) to QFHD (3840x2160) and frame rate from 30Hz to 120Hz. The core technology can be classified into four categories: (1). Embedded compression techniques, (2). Forward error correction techniques, (3) Wireless transmission techniques and (4) Embedded processor techniques. With support on high display resolutions and frame rates, huge data bandwidth is also induced, such that the high parallelism and low complexity issues are primary focus points for algorithm development in each technology. Furthermore, the corresponding VLSI architecture also has a target on high speed and high throughput issue for the whole system optimization. Finally, with this project, various transmission media in Digital Home can be integrated completely and efficiently. 研究期間:9611 ~ 9710
