摘 要本論文以多區域垂直配向顯示器模擬(Multi-domain vertical alignment)為主要的驅動方式,模擬其液晶模態,使得液晶顯示器具備基本的廣視角及良好的光電效率:1. 根據 TFT 元件設計原理,設計出具有廣視角效果的多區域垂直配向結構,並討論參數對光電曲線的影響。採用廣視角MVA 技術主要優勢,在於改善暗態漏光使增加對比,並使視角達到優化的效果。2. 採用垂直配向技術,具有高穿透率、高開口率以及快速反應時間等特性;此外,有效利用優化的光阻配方,以及高層次的光學畫素設計可使對比度顯著提高。3. 針對設計面可改變:a.ITO 電極b.Slit 寬度c.介電異方性等性質進行比較。4. 利用模擬軟體TechWiz LCD 的功能,藉由理論計算結果,外加補償相位遲滯片與液晶層特性的模擬。依此我們可依照相同的觀念設計出效果優異具有廣視角與高對比度的MVA 結構,將此結果做為設計參考依據,並藉此減低因設計不良造成的開發費用與時間消耗,達到降低成本的效果。ABSTRACTThe paper is about applying Multi-domain vertical alignment as a maindriver to simulate the liquid crystal form for making the TFT display withfundamental wide angle and splendid photoelectric efficiency.1. To elaborate the structure of wide angle effect "Multi-domain verticalalignment" with TFT design theory and discuss the factors of the photoelectricdistribution curve. The advantages of applying wide view angle MVAtechnology are all about solving Dark-state light leakage to enhance contrast andperfecting the vision angle.2. The advantages of applying vertical alignment are high penetrability、highaperture ratio and short response time. Besides, we can apparently enhance thecontrast by applying a better photo resistance recipe and advanced pixel design.3. In design area, we can adjust a. cell gap、b. the width of ITO electrode slit andc. dielectric to compare the differences.4. to apply "TechWiz LCD" to calculate the result by the theory and makethe collateral simulations of phase latency film compensation and the propertyof liquid crystal layer.Eventually we can figure out the structure of brilliant wide angle and highcontrast MVA by the same design concept, take that as the design rule to reducethe expense and time wasted by improper design, and therefore we can reducethe cost.
