旅遊產業為現今全球最大產業,全球總價值超過六兆美元,且預估在未來將以每年 4%的成長速度成長,預計在十年內,總價值將突破十兆美元,平均十個人就有一個人的工作和旅遊業相關。 本研究選擇亞洲旅遊新星國家-新加坡為研究標的,探討該國究竟如何從過去的水泥叢林、花園城市,搖身蛻變成奢華、刺激、好玩,擁有亞洲蒙地卡羅之稱號。 在變動劇烈的環境下,以 David J. Teece 所提出之動態分析工具-動態能力理論為研究方法,並以新加坡旅遊史為研究主軸,從研究中得出新加坡是因為具有良好的動態能力,以致於今日的成功,並推論出動態能力是可以被運用在旅遊業上。 Today, Tourism has become the largest industry in the world which the total value is six trillion dollars worldwide. In addition, the growth rate of the industry will be 4% each year in the future. In the next decade, the estimated total value of it will be over 10 trillion dollars which and in average one of every ten jobs will be related to tourism industry. This research selects Singapore, the tourism emerging country as a case to study, and it discusses how this country evolved from a concrete jungle and a garden city to a place full of luxury, excitement, entertainment and earning the name of Asia’s Monte Carlo. In a severely changing environment, using the dynamic analysis tool – dynamic capability theory provide by David J. Teece to study the history of Singapore tourism history as main topic can find out success in tourism of Singapore is due to its great dynamic capability. Also, the research can deduce that dynamic capability can apply on tourism industry.
