研究期間:10108~10207;The topic is carried out under the group investigation for the behavior of RC structures composed of ultra-high strength materials-steel reinforcement and concrete. These ultra-high strength materials were developed by the Taiwan New RC research team two years ago and are ready for commercial production. The target of the research is to understand the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete beams with very high strength steel reinforcement and concrete. Of particular concern is to observe the design parameters with regard to seismic design provision specified in the structural beams. Total eight of test components, cantilever RC beams with slab flange connected with transverse beams and vertical columns bolted down to the strong floor, are proposed in the topic. These specimens will be tested within a year. The purpose of the experiment is to observe the effective width of slab, steel overstrength factor in the beam plastic hinge zone at seismic ultimate condition, verification of the plastic hinge length, the curtailment of the ultra-high strength steel reinforcement, and the effect of cold joint due to the application of precast and cast-in-situ on the seismic performance of the T-beams. In the following years, a full scale building structures will be tested to observe the overall seismic performance under the design guidelines made by the Taiwan New RC team. Meanwhile, the Taiwan New RC design guideline will be established in the future.
