研究期間:10108~10207;In this project we propose to continue our studies of two possible mechanisms to account for the “like-charge” attractions among macroions. The first mechanism is established due to a reconsideration of the famous “Gibbs paradox” and mixing entropy of identical particles (counterions). Our second conjecture for the like-charge attractions is based on the account of a revised version of the Debye-Huckel theory for macroions with one-component-plasma approximation, in which the effective like-charge attraction among macroions are mediated by the tendency of counterions to aggregate due to a fluctuation term in free energy. We propose study these effects through the applications of computer simulations as well as some theoretical considerations.
