研究期間:10108~10207;This two-year project focuses on the theatre festivals, both initiated by governmental institutes and curated by private foundations, at a time span from 2000 to 2014. This decade to be studied witnesses a drastic change in Taiwan’s cultural policy making, and its impact on the (re)-categorization of theatre arts as creative industry. This project makes a close observation on the changing course of Taiwan’s theatre art as industry, recording how performing artists and groups coop with such drastic change on the cultural policy making. To better achieve the goal, this project employs such research tasks as oral history interview, ethno-filmoraphy, and thick analysis.
