Abstract: 研究期間:10108~10207;The popularity of the intelligent mobile devices and the bringing up of the cloud computing concept make the innovation of application models for network services more practical. The cloud computing provides high computing power and huge storage space with flexible resource allocation to maximize their utilization. The jumping of new wireless communication technology, LTE-Advance, provides the mobile device much more access bandwidth and, therefore, leads the fast development of mobile video services. The cloud multimedia service then becomes one of the major trends in the near future. This 3-year subproject, collaborating with other subprojects, focuses on the parallel video data processing and access in cloud environment, radio resource allocation, and power saving communication issues to achieve the objective of end to end quality of services for video streaming. The main works of this subproject in the first year include the establishment of cloud experimental platform, jitter introduced by the parallel video transcoding, and the downgrade of transmission efficiency caused by the many to one in cast. In the jitter issue, we will investigate the improvement of transcoding jitter together with the streaming jitter so that the end to end video quality can be achieved. For the in cast issue, we will propose the algorithm based on the dynamic flow scheduling concept without affecting the end equipment original design. In the second year, the issue of transmission video traffic over LTE-A wireless network with carrier aggregation will be the main research topic. Both of the symmetric and asymmetric numbers of receiving channels and demodulation devices will be considered to develop the spectrum efficiency oriented resource allocation algorithms by taking the characteristics of video coding methods used into consideration. In the third year, two main topics will be studied: one is the power saving centricity scheduling and radio resource allocation schemes for both symmetric and asymmetric cases. The other one is to integrate with other subprojects for overall system performance and to deploy the system in the cloud computing platform. During the three years, this subproject investigates the issues of the parallel processing and access in cloud system, and the effective radio resource allocation of LTE-A wireless network. This subproject cooperates with other subprojects to achieve cloud video process and service system. In addition to the conference papers, this subproject will complete two international journal papers in each year.
