摘要:	日新月異且多樣化之產品讓消費者有了許多選擇，也讓市場充滿競爭，更可使產業產生消長之變化。近年來很熱門的平板電腦即為一個顯而易見的例子。平板電腦興起之後，使替代性的電子產品受到衝擊，例如筆記型電腦產業中的Netbook。由於樞紐對筆電是必要的零組件，我們聚焦在筆電產業的樞紐產品，探討其生存空間及其應變能力。本研究以產業經濟學中的SCP(結構-行為-績效)為主要架構，進一步分析筆記型電腦、平板電腦以及筆電樞紐等三大產業。除了用結構-行為-績效來貫穿本文的架構，還會探討幾個原因來補充此主題：1.產品多角化，但生產專業化。2.創新與技術進步的觀點。3.垂直分工與垂直整合的相對優劣。本文探討過程中，針對平板電腦軟、硬體、應用程式之概況來說明與筆電之異同情況，再探討平板電腦可能興起的原因。接著分析筆記型電腦與平板電腦對樞紐產品的影響，透過外在的利害關係，樞紐零件該如何因應。最後針對個案-新日興，探討公司的營運方向及生存空間。經文獻探討及透過SCP的架構分析，可以了解樞紐廠商新日興在平板電腦興起前，早已受到全球經濟環境、筆電廠商的市場策略而提早思考及調整公司的營運方向。; Following recent advances in technology, people have more choices. As a counter result, companies in the tech industry face a lot of new competitors in the market. In light of the rapidly emerging trends, many current tech titans are having to change their business to catch up. Tablet computers have emerged as a huge new computing category in recent years. The rapid market growth of tablet computers has affected many substitute products such as laptops, netbooks, and other portable computing devices. A critical component for these substitute products being impacted by tablet demand, the hinge of a laptop or netbook will be our focus for analyzing the strategies and actions available to the hinge industry. This research will apply the industrial economics approach of SCP（Structure-Conduct-Performance）methodology to analyze 3 major industries: laptops, tablet computers and hinges. This research analysis does not only use SCP, but also discusses some major topics, including: 1. Product diversification, and production specialization 2. A viewpoint of innovation and technology advancement 3. The advantage and disadvantage of vertical integration and vertical division In the discussion, we will analyze the differences of software, hardware, and applications between tablet computers and laptops, and survey why tablet computers market share can grow at such a fast rate. The research will then discuss what is the influence to hinge products, and the reaction of the hinge industry. The research analyzes the case of Shin Zu Shing reaction to the aforementioned market changes. Based on our research and SCP analysis, the company changed its strategy in response to the emerging new global economy and laptop ODM strategy. We will demonstrate through the example of Shin Zu Shing what response and actions the hinge industry has and is able to take in response to the emerging tablet industry.
