    題名: 以Schiff base反應為主之雙金屬液晶材料及 三雜環系統之盤狀液晶

    摘要: 系列一的部分是由含ketone-aldehyde 及苯環2號位置有OH的結構出發,和不同具單一 amine的化合物作schiff base反應合成出一系列配位基 2a、2b、2c、2d、2e及2f ,經由POM、XRD、DSC等儀器測量後發現,配位基為 2a、2b 具有液晶 SmC 相,2d 及 2e 具有 N 及 SmA 相,2f 有 N 及 SmC 相,再將配位基2a、2b、2c、2d、2e 及 2f ,與金屬 Cu 進行配位形成錯合物1a-1f,發現錯合物1a 具有桿狀液晶的特性,1c 則有盤狀液晶的性質。

    系列二也是同樣由 ketone-aldehyde 出發與不同成對 amine 合成出化合物1g、1h 及 1i。化合物1g 為SmC 相、1h 則隨者中間連接基碳數的不同有SmA 及 SmC 相有奇偶效應;而化合物1i 則只有 N 相。

    系列三則是由含有三邊 α,β-diketone經由合環反應合成三邊isoxazole的化合物3a及3b當總碳鏈數為3支鏈時為結晶相,6支碳鏈時則為Colh 液晶相。
    ;Three series of mesogenic compounds were prepared and studied in this thesis. All compounds described were characterized via 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and elemental analysis. The mesophases were studied and investigated by POM, DSC, and the structures of the mesophases were also confirmed by variable temperature X-ray diffraction experiments.

    In the first series, we succeed to synthesize the ligand 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e and 2f and their complexes 1a-1f .The compound 2a and 2b are SmC phase; compound 2d, 2e have N and SmA phase; compound 2f is SmC phase, then the compound 2a, 2b , 2c, 2d, 2e and 2f coordination with Copper (II) for the metal ligand complexes are formed 1a-1f, found that the compounds having a rod-like liquid crystal properties 1a, 1c there discotic liquid nature.

    In the second series, the compound 1g has SmC phase, the compound 1h has odd-even effect, the compound 1i has N phase.

    And the last series, these compounds 3a and 3b have been synthesized by the reaction of 4a and 4b with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in ethyl alcohol. The formation of mesophases was found to be sensitive to the number of carbon side chains. The result indicated that compounds 3a which has three carbon chains is crystal phases, however, compounds 3b which has six side chains is Columnar hexagonal phases.
