光強增益平坦器可因光強放大器而提供兩種光譜:和放大器光譜相反的衰減光譜(loss-wavelength profile)及補放大器的增益光譜(gain—wavelength profile)。而我們已實際設計出Fabry-Perot etalon濾波片去組成光強增溢平坦器。此種光強增溢平坦器具有不同特性的數片濾波片所組成,且可精確地組成反放大器光譜。 不但如此,藉由使用全介電質膜堆濾波片來組成增溢平坦濾波片可說是一個創新的設計。此濾波片亦有每層皆為四分之一波厚之優勢。 The optical gain equalizer haves two profiles from the optical fiber amplifier;the loss-wavelength profile which is reverse to the amplifier (loss direction) and the gain—wavelength profile. We have made practical use of designing the Fabry-Perot etalon to compose the optical gain equalizer .This kind of optical gain equalizer has several etalon filters with different characteristic and it precisely realizes the characteristic reverse to the optical gain equalizer .
