Abstract:	(d,n) 這個符號定義為n件物品中恰有d個壞的. M(d,n) 叫做對於 (d,n) 問題的minimax testing number. 我們這篇論文起源於嘗試研究由胡門昌、黃光明、王九逵三位教授在 1981 年提出的一個關於群試的猜測. 在論文 [3] 中, 他們猜測: 若 0 < d < n ≦ 3d, 則 M(d,n) = n-1. 關於胡-黃-王猜測 [3] 的結果並不是很多. 目前, 我們所瞭解的最好結果是由 Du 和 Hwang [2] 在 1982 年得到的. 他們証明: 若 0 < d < n ≦ 42d/16 則 M(d,n)=n-1. 在這篇論文裡, 我們參考 Du 和 Hwang [2] 的方法, 進一步改善他們的結果. 我們證明: 若 193 ≦ d < n ≦43d/16, 則 M(d,n)=n-1.
