    Abstract: 合唱波的最顯著的特徵是不連續波元,合唱波波元的特性可以由三個合唱波參數來界定:持續時間、頻率變化率以及重複發生週期。從二個相鄰合唱波波元的時間資訊,其種類可以分為重疊和非重疊合唱波波元。假如一個合唱波波元的起始時間是在前一個波元結束之前(之後),這個波元被分類為重疊(非重疊)波元。Shue et al. [2015] 的資料庫包含1331個合唱波波元的時間和頻率資訊和各個波元所對應的背景電漿和磁場參數,這個資料庫可以讓我們簡單地做重疊和非重疊波元的分類。在本計畫中,我們將研究這二種波元的地方時分布,且研究控制個別波元特性的主要電漿和磁場因數,以了解這二種合唱波波元背後隱藏的物理機制。 ;The most striking feature of chorus waves is discrete elements. The characteristics of the chorus elements can be quantified by the three chorus parameters: the lasting time, sweep rate, and repetition period. According to the timing of two consecutive elements, the chorus elements can be divided into the overlapped and non-overlapped categories. If the starting time of one element occurs before (after) the ending time of the previous element, this element is classified as an overlapped (non-overlapped) element. The data set created by Shue et al. [2015] includes the timings and frequency changes of 1331 chorus elements, and the corresponding background plasma and magnetic field information for each element. With the data set, we can easily separate the chorus elements in the data set into the overlapped and non-overlapped bins. In this proposed work, we will study the local time distributions of chorus elements for the two bins and study which background plasma and magnetic field parameters controls the characteristics of the overlapped and non-overlapped individually to find the physical mechanisms underlying the two types of chorus elements.
