    Abstract: 延續自2006年實驗室開始的擴散光學斷層造影(Diffuse Optical Tomography, DOT)研究,透過此兩年期計畫,將DOT技術探討達到: (i)俯臥式順應乳房外形光資訊掃描擷取、(ii)多頻率/方波強度調變光資訊量測、(iii)建模適應性三維立體組織光學係數影像反算 等研究目標,使得所發展此一DOT醫學造影設備,更適用在臨床環境作乳房腫瘤篩檢及診斷應用。所研究及開發的俯臥式三維DOT系統,是仿照乳房磁振造影(breast MRI, BMRI)架構,其後續因檢測診斷需要,可和BMRI併用構成雙模態醫學影像(dual imaging modality)。本計畫所研討開發系統所具原創性包括: (i)具可動式的光源及偵測器模組,其效益能降低系統設置成本、及擷取更多光資訊有利於影像重建空間解析度;(ii)多頻率/方波強度調變光資訊量測,其效益分別具有能縮短光資訊掃描時間、獲得多組強度及相位差訊息而有利於組織光學係數計算 的優點。計畫中並規畫實驗室的仿體實驗、以及壢新醫院的臨床人體實驗,對於所開發的DOT醫學造影設備作確效驗證。 ;Consecutive to our lab study on the diffuse optical tomography, through this two-year continual research project the development of DOT techniques aims at three goals that include (i) the optical scanning and acquisition conforming to the breast profile for prostrate-type breast screening, (ii) multiple-frequency and square-wave intensity modulated light measurement, and (iii) tissue optical-coefficient image reconstruction for three-dimensional (3D) arbitrary finite-element models. This may bring the developed DOT medical imaging equipment more suitable to clinical environments for breast tumor screening and diagnosis. The investigated and developed 3D prostrate-type DOT system imitates the scheme of breast MRI (BMRI), and thus it can be incorporated with the BMRI to create dual imaging modality. The original creative ideas of this project include (i) a moveable source-detector module that enables to save the system cost, and acquire more optical information that can enhance the spatial resolution of reconstructed images, (ii) the multiple- frequency and square-wave intensity modulated light measurement that helps, respectively, shorten the time to acquire optical information, and simultaneously obtain several sets of data of emitted light intensity and phase lags that benefit the image reconstruction. In this project, the lab phantom test and clinical trials at the Landseed Hospital are arranged to justify the developed techniques and constructed equipment.
