通常製造公司對Computers系統有三大評量重點:(1)系統效能(System Performance)(2)能源消耗(Power Consumption)(3)散熱控制(Thermal Control)。 然而在不同的應用領域的Computers則又會有不同的比重考量,例如Portable PC就會比較著重在能源消耗和散熱控制的問題,至於系統效能的問題反倒是其次考量。 因為通常Portable PC電池的電量會有一定的限制(Limited),基於成本(Cost)和體積(Size)的考量。因此如何達到最小的能源消耗,增加電池的使用時間,續航力(Battery Life),以及如何有效的管理和控制能源的消耗,便成為一個很重要的研究議題。 此篇論文,模糊邏輯理論在攜帶型電腦電源管理和散熱控制之應用,利用模糊邏輯理論的控制方法比起傳統的控制方法,可以有效地改善傳統的能源消耗(Power Consumption)和散熱控制(Thermal Control)問題。(1)運用在散熱控制的風扇控制(Fan Control)方面,更能達到系統運作時的噪音值降低,讓系統運作時更安靜;還有能更快速且精確地控制溫度;因為風扇具有啟動電壓的特性,所以只要設定適當的門檻值(Threshold),就可以同時達到省電的目的。(2)運用在LCD螢幕亮度控制(LCD Brightness Control)方面,可以減少LCD螢幕的能源消耗(Power Consumption),有效延長電池的續航力(Battery Life)。 Usually, three great commenting points of computers system in a manufacture company are: (1) system performance (2) power consumption (3) thermal control. However, computers in the field of different application will have different proportion ff that will be considered, such as portable PC will focus on power consumption and thermal control, as for the issue of system performance will be the second concern. In view of the cost and volume of battery, the capacity of battery of portable PC is within some restriction. So how to reach the minimum power consumption as well as increase the battery life and effective manage and control the power consumption become a very important research topic. This thesis is going to apply the fuzzy logic theory to control the intelligent fan to improve the question of traditional thermal control effectively. Compared with the traditional control method, apply the fuzzy logic theory control method can achieve the lowest noise value even quieter when system be operated; moreover it can have the thermal control faster and more accurate. Because the fan has the characteristic of motion starting voltage, only set proper threshold value will achieve the purpose of the power saving at the same time. Apply the fuzzy logic technique on the variable duration of LCD brightness control it can decrease the power consumption of LCD screen and extend the battery life effectively.
