Abstract:	本計畫為期三年，旨在重新探討陳文述及其交遊網絡、多元書寫，由此抉發嘉道士人處在清代文學、文化轉折期的貢獻與地位。首先，以陳氏的遊幕生涯為主，從而反映乾嘉道年間的金石考古風尚與主體情志，包括他所參與之文藝酬唱，與一生遊走的情志抒發。其次，側重陳文述在蘇州、上海的經歷，闡析他與陳裴之亦師亦友的父子情深，共同建構「吳中七子」譜系以承續吳地文藝傳統，打造二人提攜後進的美名。再考索陳氏與吾園主人過從甚密的交情，從空間名物析究江南話語與地域意識的凝鑄。最後，陳氏特別關注東南沿海戰情與鴉片肆虐景況，一再敘述李長庚抗敵事蹟，台灣危難處境，又以歌行疾呼鴉片帶來的嚴重危害，顯現嘉道士人對時政、對台灣的認識與重視。
