摘要(英) Top management plays an imperative role in IS / ERP project that has been intensive studied and recognized as a critical success factor in project implementation. Leadership is constantly acknowledged as a prominent feature of project success and has been empirically validated in many fields. Besides, CEO leadership is also identified to have significant impact on organizational performance. However, according to the best of our knowledge, no work has been done that discuss which top management leadership style excels in supporting ERP project success to improve organizational performance.
Many studies have shown that without top management support or involvement, the desired IS can’t be implemented successfully; the anticipated benefit is difficult to reap.Top management involvement can enhance project teamwork to promise the project performs on track. Though there are many empirical examined IS success model to gather the IS / ERP success factors. However, no studies incorporate top management involvement with project collaboration to measure ERP success.
To fill these gaps, this study attempts to explore the impact of top managers on ERP implementation. Two major research issues are addressed; one is which transformational leadership styles of CEO have positive a relation with the improvement of organizational performance through successful ERP implementation, the other is how top management involvement incorporates Teamwork affect the ERP success?
The results show only the charismatic leadership style has a substantially positive affect on the improvement of organizational performance through successful ERP implementation. Top management involvement enhances Teamwork to improve ERP system qualities and, thus promote user satisfaction. The managerial suggestions and future research are discussed based on our findings.
