dc.description.abstract | This thesis mainly discusses about the factors, actual impacts, and contribution behind the pricing strategy of electric scooter in Taiwan. This study research sample uses the data of an electric scooter model in 2017, by referencing past studies of electric scooter’s marketing and technology characteristics, to constitute a complete research framework.
It is mainly to discuss which characteristics are the ctual key factors to affect the pricing of electric scooter. Sample characteristics are designed into control factors during the process, while optional functions were designed into dummy variables, to further discuss if changes occurred to the key characteristic, and to finally analysis these characteristics data. First, by using the Hedonic Price method, the study shows that the better performances provided, such as cruising range, climbing ability and horsepower, the pricing of an electric scooter would increase accordingly, and is consistent to the
previous studies, while pricing are uncompetitive when longer the charging times and lower the dominance is, therefore the pricing are lower. Secondly, when using Feasible Generalized Least Squares method, by adding different control factors during the process, the result still shows key characteristics still holds 1% of significant influence on the pricing of electric scooter. This study also discovers that some technical functions such as lithium-ion battery, water cooling system, and explosion protective technology, contributes significantly to the pricing of electric bicycle, even when compare to the key factors. The study shows: the key factor variables under different models of electric scooter, showing its influence to the pricing, and functional characteristics also shows great contribution to the pricing. | en_US |
