dc.description.abstract | In the discussion platform, peer assessment and reflection make students learn easily and efficiently, through different perspectives to learn knowledge, students are able to embrace different angle of thinking. In this research, we create a discussion platform with the mechanism of social interaction, to explore whether impact student engagement and beneficial leaning on the mechanism of social interaction in the discussion platform.
The 60 students from one of the universities in Taoyuan city are used as the main research participant in divided experiment and control groups, include the college student and master. The student of experiment groups to discuss by the discussion platform with the mechanism of social interaction, the student of control groups to discuss without the mechanism of social interaction, after performing the digital learning platform, both groups went to discuss it in discussion platform and fill in the questionnaire. The comments data will be analyzed by independent sample T-test.
We get to know from collected data and result of the questionnaire by discussion platform, the number of comments of experiment groups is higher than control groups. In the quality of comment, the experiment groups do not appear any negative comments, Control groups appear the few negative comments, The proportion of social comments in experiment groups lower than control groups, last, The proportion of encouragement and constructive comments in experiment groups higher than control groups. Therefore, In the discussion platform with the mechanism of social interaction does enhance student engagement, comments quality and built a mutually beneficial learning culture, at the same time also descending the comments of negative and sociability. | en_US |
