dc.description.abstract | Since the small size of the market economy in elevator industry in Taiwan, to meet the demand, customization is common in the market. Due to the market price competition, the population no longer grows, and the real estate has been affected by economic sluggishness for a long time, lead to the increased supply but decreased demand, making the competition more intense in Taiwan′s elevator market. Besides, the economic development of China has prompted the elevator industry to form a one-stop and well-diversified supply chain in the past two decades. In contrast, Taiwan′s three major domestic factories still continue their independent development and production of all elevator parts as early stage. For the domestic elevator industry, the major issue is how to let consumers accept the quality, delivery and cost at the same time.
This study explores this elevator outsourcing method by means of various ways in which the case company has been transformed from factory-made to outsourcing in recent years, so that the profitability can be improved, with the aim to apply the research results to the transformation of the production mode of the elevator industry. The key conclusions of the success of the case company are as follows:
● Investigate the changing market environment, and propose a solution promptly.
● Companies must reach consensus and implement close cooperation.
● Enterprises and outsourcers maintain a long-lasting mutually beneficial partnership. | en_US |
