dc.description.abstract | Among all the internal operations of a logistics center, picking is a labor-intensive and costly part, and the time required for picking accounts for about 35-45% of the overall operating time. In terms of cost, the labor cost required for picking accounts for 20-25% of the total cost of the logistics industry, while the picking operation in the logistics center accounts for about 50% of the total cost. Therefore, how to establish an effective picking process to minimize the cost of picking operations will have a significant impact on the overall operational efficiency of logistics operators.
This research mainly discusses the method of order batching operations in Distribution Centre. Based on four picking policies, different order similarity coefficients are proposed, and clustering method is used for order batching. Use the Total Travel Distance of Pickers(TTD)to evaluate the performance of order batching methods under different picking policies, find out the best batching method for different storage location designs. In addition, this paper will compare with the batch picking rules proposed in previous studies, and propose suggestions for future research methods, which can be used as a reference for actual picking operators. It is expected that it will be of great help to the actual warehouse environment and improve the efficiency of picking operations. | en_US |
