However, it also brings challenges such as personal data breaches, illegal content sharing, and limitations in e-book transferability. To address these issues, this study proposes utilizing blockchain technology to design a decentralized e-book trading platform. By conducting a literature review and questionnaire survey, we gained insights into user expectations for a decentralized platform. Based on these insights, a platform was designed using blockchain technology, incorporating smart contracts, FIDO, IPFS, and proxy re-encryption techniques. The platform provides a secure, transparent, and convenient trading environment, enhances copyright protection, and boosts consumers′ confidence in information security and digital rights. It offers new opportunities for the e-book market and promotes industry development.
