dc.description.abstract | In the building of the transportation network, the bridge has played an important role to cross the river, the valley, etc. However, many bridges are severely damaged due to overloading and natural effects. For instance, many gravel trucks are overloaded, gravel in the river are taken. When stricken by earthquakes or landslides, bridges may face great damage. In the transportation system with ill-maintained bridge, which is not able to provide services for people, the social expenditure will increase. In this way, it will affect the economic development of the country; therefore, it is an important course to maintain the safety of the bridge.
In view of this, promoting the efficiency in the bridge management system, the economic efficiency and leading to the lowest cost of the life cycle, it is necessary to develop a life cycle based bridge management system. The goal of this study is to build up the safety index of the bridge with concrete and the rating method, taking examples for the rating method, and thus sets up the Safety Index of “Life-Cycle Based Bridge Management System”. The main contents of this study are as following:
1.Build up the key factors of the bridge safety and construction of the rating method.
2.Develop the safety index of the bridge and the rating method with the key factors.
3.Make use of the Analytical Hierarchy Process and the Delphi method to establish the weight of the proposed method.
4.Use examples to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.
We expect to establish the composite scores of the bridge, and regard the safety index of the bridge as the reference for the inspection, repair and management of the bridge hereafter. | en_US |
