dc.description.abstract | In the information overloading era, using the information technology properly not only can save the operating cost but improve the efficiency as well. While facing the fierce competition, how to incorporate a new information technology or integrate information systems has been a major issue for enterprises to obtain competitive advantage.
The purpose of this research is to explore the adoption of a financial information exchange platform, TSE (Taiwan Securities Exchange Co. Ltd.), currently used in Taiwan brokage and investment trust industry, and then to explain the reason why and why not those companies’ use of this platform. After implementing the questionnaire survey, this research also verifies the model’s ability on forecasting and clarification. The major influencing factors of enterprise adopting such information exchange platform are in aspects of organization, environment, innovation characteristics of information technology, and perception of users. The sample included a total of 163 local investment trust corporations and brokers. After the 5 months survey period, 70 completed questionnaires were collected, which account for a response rate of 28.81% for brokage industry, and 80% for investment trust industry. The total response rate is 42.94%.
The results shows that in the organization dimension, the organization scale and the capability of information technology personnel are highly correlated with whether enterprise will adopt the TSE information exchange platform or not. However, formalization of organization, degree of digitalization, and attitude of the management is not. In environment, improving business environment, product’s trend, and competing will are highly coorelated with whether enterprise will adopt the TSE information exchange platform or not. In innovation characteristics of information technology, complexity and developing are highly correlated with whether enterprise will adopt the TSE information-exchange platform or not, but maturity and cost is not. In perception of users for information technology, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use are highly correlated with whether enterprise will adopt the TSE information-exchange platform or not. | en_US |
