dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, we develop a catastrophe risk management system, namely Taiwan Risk Management System (TRM System), based on service-oriented technologies to analyze the characteristics and sources of risk of natural catastrophes, such like earthquake and landslides. Through service wrapping and service composition technologies, the geographic information of one area can be analyzed by integrating different geographic information services, including Earthquake Danger Degree Service, Earthquake Analysis, Geography Service and Point of Interest Service for the given address. Furthermore, TRM System can adjust the composed services to manage and estimate the risks more efficiently based on the needs of general users or experts, e.g. house agents or house agents, from different domains.
We also propose a performance model for the TRM to represent the criteria of system performance testing and tuning. Through this performance model, we can verify and validate the system performance before and after tuning. These criteria will be significant references for other similar systems | en_US |
