dc.description.abstract | Owing to implementation of the Financial Institutions Merger Act and joint of WTO, the competition between stockbrokerages become more and more severe, especially for local small-medium stockbrokerages. Facing such kind of rapid change and competitions, fixed format report can no longer satisfy senior management. The requirements for reports are various, and also efficient in timing.
Inmon (1990), proposed Data Warehouse, emphasized the integration of data to support management’s decision. Data Warehouse transfers different transaction data base via selection, filter and integration process and re-load the data to Data Warehouse. As Data Warehouse stores lots of historical records, through on line analysis, information can be shown in various ways to help the decision maker to know and monitor the issue more deeply.
The treatise is focus at recall of implementation process of Data Warehouse for stockbrokerages. The scope includes: background of case study, analysis of requirement, system analysis and design, difficulties in developing process and solutions, comparison for expected advantages and real benefit.
