dc.description.abstract | The market globalization, intense competition, and outsourcing contributing to uncertainty and unpredictability, and the abilities of an organization to adapt to unexpected changes are critical to achieving and maintaining a competitive advantage. Researches about establishing Supply Chain Performance Measurement Models (SCPMM) in the past didn’t con contain the Triple-A’s attributes (Agility, Adaptability, and Alignment) which held a huge influence in the Supply Chain Performance. Thus, this research expects to establish a SCPMM for companies in many industries which are fronting intensely competitive and fast-changing environment. So that the companies can understand how is the supply chain performance gap between the competitors and itself, and use this information to make the decision on supply chain management.
This research extracts 24 metrics by reviewing literatures, and uses a pretesting to validate the metrics and architecture. Afterward, it applys Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to establish the SCPMM: The human experts determine the relative importance between the dimensions and the metrics. After the opinions converged, the cross-dimensional relative importance will be determined, and it is the SCPMM. Finally, this rearch uses the vailition survey to confirm the model is really worked.
According the research result, when a company is measuring its supply chain performance, the most important metrics are “lead time condensation”, “Trust each other”, and “Customer satisfaction” but not the traditional resource-related metrics. In fact, there is no resource-related metric being a key performance measurement metric. The result implies the principles that companies measuring the SC performance are changing for the current commercial environment.
