dc.description.abstract近幾年來節能減碳的議題不斷地被討論,許多硬體或軟體也主打綠色節能,由此可見節能的議題是非常受到廣泛地討論,像是手機、隨身聽、筆記型電腦…等等,此類產品都是需要有省電機制的,如此一來才可延長裝置的使用時間,因此省電機制是非常重要的技術之一。在IEEE 802.16e規格裡針對行動式的MS加入了省電機制,是為了延長行動裝置的使用時間,使MS可以達到週期性的睡眠,以減少電力的消耗。   IEEE 802.16e提供 QoS 的設計讓各類型的服務在 WiMAX 上多了一份保證,在標準中已有定義連線QoS的系統架構,但是對於封包排程機制卻缺乏詳細規範,而是交由系統開發商自行制定排程機制以達到最佳的網路效能。因此排程在802.16e中也是相當重要的一環,但一般的排程設計,並不會將省電機制也考慮進去,因此睡眠效率較低。   最後本文研究重點是如何整合資源排程與省電機制,且不影響其它系統效能,進而達成排程與省電機制之整合,並滿足各種服務的QoS,達到較佳的睡眠效率,使得省電及QoS兩者得以兼顧。 zh_TW
dc.description.abstractIn recent years, energy saving and carbon reduction issues are continuously discussed. Many hardware or software developments focus on green technology. Several power saving issues are very widely discussed in communication equipment.   In IEEE 802.16e standard, the power saving mechanism is defined to extend the operation time for mobile devices through sleeping arrangement. However, IEEE 802.16e also provides QoS design to support various types of services to guarantee transmission quality. Traditionally, the packet scheduling in wireless environment consider the trade off between system throughput and QoS under the channel condition constraint. In this thesis, we propose a power saving centric scheduling scheme for the downlink traffic in WiMax network. This research proposes a just enough performance satisfaction scheduling scheme while achieving better power saving efficiency. Both of real time and non real time traffic types are considered. Once receiving the sleep request from the MS, the proposed scheme in BS performs the packet scheduling so that the MS can get longer sleeping period. Both partial arrangement and fully arrangement policies are discussed. The simulation results illustrates that the proposed scheme can achieve the above objectives under the QoS constraints. en_US
