| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, Hu Qiuyuan (1910 - 2004) after 1950s in Taiwan period as the main research direction of cultural view, the first chapter discusses Hu Qiuyuan′s life experience, and states that the 1930′s to 1950′s after the thought process.
The second chapter discusses Hu Qiuyuan and 1960′s the relationship of ＂Chinese and Western cultural controversy＂, points out that the core of the Hu Qiuyuan′s cultural thought is beyond the traditional school, westernization, Russia pie and self into a whole new view, also a national social and cultural is the continuity of, so total westernization is to give up the root of culture itself, Hu Qiuyuan thought that contact the role of past of the Chinese traditional culture and the modern social demand is intellectual, intellectuals should not be in the Westernization, retro, but on the social reality of Chinese and Western culture, the system only then, Constitute his ＂ Beyond advanced theory ＂.
The third chapter discuss Hu Qiuyuan and ＂the magazine and its impact on society of Taiwan,＂ the magazine was founded in 1963 and suspends to 1992, the quarterly magazine ＂, published four in December 1993 officially ceased publication. Hu Qiuyuan in Chinese Journal of participation in local literary controversy, Diaoyutai movement, refute modernization theory etc., offer the perspective of observation and review of the development of Taiwan society.
