dc.description.abstract | With the rapid evolution of information technology and Internet technologies, enterprises have introduced various application systems during different periods to satisfy demands. However, the development platforms and technologies adopted for the application systems vary continuously. In addition, the number of information systems also increase with each system equipped with respective directory services and account management. The above situation will cause enterprise employees having difficulty memorizing the multiple system accounts and passwords, and wasting their time logging into various systems individually. To solve this problem of repeated logging in, most enterprises adopt Single Sign-on method as a solution. However, not all systems of a firm are Web-based application programs, and the currently available Web-based Single Sign-on technology is inadequate for solving the aforementioned problem.
Therefore, this study uses a single case study to describe the background and process of implementing the Single Sign-on system and account management in the case company, as well as the problems and solutions encountered when introducing the system to the case company. This study finds that implementing Single Sign-on system benefits employees and management sectors. This study evaluated the performance of the Single Sign-on system implementation using two dimensions of the information system construction model, internal and external experts, as a basis for analysis. Finally, this paper provides practical suggestions for Single Sign-on system implementation in enterprises.
