| dc.description.abstract | 在台灣，長久以來，人們的動物保育意識都極為薄弱，尤其是流浪動物的處理方式非常殘酷而遭人詬病。雖然政府不斷大力提倡保護動物的觀念，不過此觀念在現實生活中似乎總是難以落實。本篇論文以Peter Singer的動物解放學說，針對台灣民眾對待流浪犬的態度與舉措，進行倫理的探究，同時也透過案例深入瞭解台灣流浪犬所衍生的問題。希望能藉此論文喚起國人對動物倫理的重視，進而檢討及提出有效的改進建議。
本篇論文以Singer的「動物解放學說」作為理論參考系，全文涵蓋了以下的重點：(1)台灣流浪犬問題的探討：包含人們對待流浪犬的舉措、流浪犬造成的社會問題，以及政府推行動物保護法令所遇到的阻礙。(2)動物解放學說的倫理探究：論述動物解放學說的理論背景與重要論述，並鋪陳Singer觀點所受到的批判與回應，從而凸顯動物解放學說在動物對待議題上之可行性。(3)以動物解放學說來處理台灣流浪犬的問題：先將Singer的動物解放學說實際運用於台灣流浪犬問題上，再提出可能的解決之道，並說明我所提出的解決之道能夠符應Singer的觀點，進而讓台灣流浪犬的問題獲得解決。 | zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | People in Taiwan have had frail consciousness of animal conservation. The cruel ways we used to treat stray dogs have been badly criticized. Although the government has been making effort to promote the conception of animal protection, it’s not easy to put into practice in daily life. The purpose of this thesis is not only to ethically discuss the attitude and the practices we treat stray dogs in Taiwan on the basis of Peter Singer’s Animal Liberation Theory, but also to help readers understand the problems caused by stray dogs through different cases. Hopefully, this thesis may make people pay more attention to animal ethics, rethink and advocate more efficient advice to improve the current situation in Taiwan.
On the basis of Singer’s Animal Liberation Theory, this thesis deals with three issues as below. (1) Problem exploration about stray dogs in Taiwan, including the practices people used to treat stray dogs, the social problems caused by stray dogs, and the obstacles the government faced when trying to carry out the animal protection law. (2) Ethical discussion on Animal Liberation Theory, I state the background and the main statement of Animal Liberation Theory, and the criticism and response toward Singer’s view in order to emphasize the possibility to apply the theory in the issues we treat animals. (3) To deal with problems about Taiwan stray dogs by Animal Liberation Theory, I practically apply Singer’s Animal Liberation Theory on the problem about Taiwan stray dogs, and then advocate possible solutions that correspond to Singer’s view, hoping to solve the problems about Taiwan stray dogs. | en_US |
