摘要(中) 就公司來說,要在這個資訊年代存續下來,靠的不只是公司的大小或運氣,更重要的是公司擁有對環境變化迅速適應、持續創新、和直擊組織目標決策的能力。 保持競爭力是不夠的,因此,很多現代組織緊抱著資訊科技的策略和建置來尋求卓越或出色傑出。對當代組織來說,資訊部門運作流暢和有效率是相當重要的課題,特別是對中小企業來說。然而,資訊、科技、和可用資源的不足卻阻礙了有助於組織目標達成之有效資訊科技策略的形成和建置。
  本研究以脈絡論透視法結合相關組織理論及資訊科技仔細地描述和分析一個中小型製造業的個案公司其資訊策略形成和建置的過程。藉由本個案研究和相關文獻的探討,作者為資訊部門管理建構了一個透視法;同時,這個個案研究也發展出在這個領域中可做為未來研究基礎的一些意涵。
摘要(英) For a firm to have survived in this Information Age is not just because of the firm’s size or good luck, it is more important for the firm to own a capacity to adapt to changing conditions in the environment swiftly, to innovate continuously, and to take decisive actions that move the organization towards its goals straightly. Keeping competitiveness is not enough; therefore, many contemporary organizations grasp information technology strategy and implementation to search for excellence or being excellent. Driving the IT department fluently and effectively is a very important issue in contemporary organizations, especially for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). However, lack of information, technology, and usable resources hamper the formation and implementation of effective IT strategies towards the organizational goals.
This study thoroughly describes and analyzes a case of IT strategy formation and implementation processes in a small and medium-sized manufacturing firm from a Contextualist Perspective along with related organizational theories and information science. Through the case study and the review of related literatures, the author constructed a perspective for IT department management; and this case study is also used to develop some general implications on this area, which can be taken as the base for future investigation.
