隨著資訊科技的進步,許多學者開始思考如何應用各種先進的資訊設備以及技術在教學用途上,數位化教室環境(Digital Classroom Environment)就是其中的一個長期的研究,從1999年起,數位化教室環境導入了無線技術根行動學習輔具等資訊科技到教室之內,並隨著資訊科技的持續演進,我們採用了更新的硬體設備,也加入了更多的教學功能到系統之內,例如支援更多種類的教材資源,加入手寫註記的功能,還有更多關於小組合作學習的支援等等.
這篇論文主要探討的是教室伺服器,一個在數位教室環境的系統裡面,作為提供教材以及相關教學服務的伺服器。首先我們先從DCE的歷史沿革介紹DCE的由來,再簡介DCE系統的概念以及系統結構, 接著介紹教室伺服器在DCE 裡面扮演的角色以及為何需要教室伺服器,並討論教室伺服器的架構,接著再深入探討這整個機制的運作以及此系統遇到的問題。
關於評估的部份,我們在實驗過程中整理了有關系統使用頻寬以及教材資源大小等數據,評估採用了教室伺服器的架構會對系統產生的影響。另外,我們在實際參與實驗教師的長期使用之中,做出系統使用狀況的整理,並從教師的訪談之中,評估系統對於實際使用在學校內部的優缺點,然後整理出本篇論文的相關結論以及未來工作。
摘要(英) With the vast improvement in technology, many scholars begins to cerebrate on how to implement the varieties of advanced information facility and technology for teaching purposes. The Digital Classroom environment is one long term research , since 1999, when digital classroom environment was first applied with wireless techniques on the mobile learning device and other information technologies within the classroom. During the progression of information technology, we then applied renewed hardware equipments and implemented more classroom functions into the system, for example, used more support on teaching material resource varieties, add manual hand-writing functions and many other group collaborative learning supports etc.
The main topic of this paper is "Classroom server". A server used to provide classroom service in a digital classroom environment within the system. First, we go back to a brief introduction on the origin of DCE, DCE system concept and system structure, then introduce the role which a classroom server plays and why its of such importance. Lastly, discuss the structure of the Classroom server and cover the overall mechanism and system trouble-shootings.
Regarding the evaluation, we have collected some data from the experimental process according to material resources. We had assessed the use of Classroom server structure and its influence on the system. Apart from that, we have actually shared experience with participants, long-term users of the experiment. When making a system analysis, collected data from interviews with instructors, evaluated the pros and cons of experiment when used in schools, then later on compiled related results ,experiment results and future works.
