TFT-LCD industry in Taiwan was established in 1992 by the several production companies such as Unipac Optoelectronics, Prime View, etc. Starting manufacture small panel (ten inches or less), and large-size panels of open investment boom from Chunghwa Picture Tubes in 1998 production with the Japan’s maker by technology transfer. After large-size panel’s product innovation are application. The panel manufacturing technology also follows the glass substrates size of each generation to increase production capacity and continue to reduce costs. The Automation Transportation System to become a key import player in production manufacturing process. Early next generation of factory cause achieve fast mass-production. Develop Automation Transportation System by technology professionals, or direct technology transfer from Japan. After large size of the next generation factory-level complexity and challenges increased. This model seems not to apply such as system can’t quickly integrate, difficult synchronize standardization, post mass-production problems need improvements.
Through study and evaluation on the specific case, the Automation Transportation System management activities in production manufacturing process model. To figure out if solve the above problem validly and this new Automation Transportation System model used in other similar enterprises. The conclusion as described below:
1. Automation Transportation System model is valid, but the sufficient conditions such as mass-production management ideas, creative integration of technology, sync standardized operations.
2. This model with the international semiconductor factory standards required similar. Definitely, Automation Transportation System model is appropriate for all other similar companies as long as.
