In recent years, because of the diet culture and the lifestyle change, cardiacerebrovascular
disease, hypertension, diabetes and other chronic diseases have
replaced infectious diseases and slowly endanger people’’s health. In past years, we
generally believed that blood pressure, blood lipids and blood glucose still in the
normal range are healthy. However, in clinic, if many risk factors are closer to
abnormal range, the chronic diseases will be occurred. Therefore, in the perspective of
preventive medicine, we more care about the symptoms before disease - Metabolic
Syndrome.
Some metabolic syndrome (MetS) research focused on the association of the
variation of components with the incidence of MetS, except the BMI and weight
change, and few has been reported on recovery of MetS. In this study, we collected
the community outreaching project data during 2003 to 2009 in Li-shin hospital.
And we used the logistic regression to analyse the relationship of the risk factors and
the change of components in one year recovery and incidence of MetS.
