摘要(英) |
As a result of globalization trends along with information science and technology advancements, industries are faced with global competition and challenge. Businesses can no longer focus exclusively on their own production lines, instead having to collaborate with all suppliers in order to create the competitive edge for the whole supply chain. Therefore, given the premise that the needs of the global market should be satisfied, it is a pressing issue for businesses to coordinate varied constraints of all the nodes in their respective supply chain networks, reaching the overall goal of operations with the lowest possible cost.
In view of the problems with master planning in the flat panel display assembly industry, this research proposes an integrated solution combining a simulation-based decision support system (DSS) and the theory-of-constraint (TOC) process using an advanced planning system (APS) methodology while focusing on master planning in the flat panel display assembly industry. With an aim to address the bottleneck resource issue, this solution incorporates information systems and planning processes to provide decision making support. The planning simultaneously considers the constraints in aspects such as materials, production capacity, safety stock strategies, transportation lead time and transportation lot size to balance supply and demand, achieve the greatest customer quality of service, maintain reasonable end product safety stock levels, and effectively solve the bottleneck resource and resource allocation problems. End product safety stock planning, shipment planning, production planning and material procurement planning are thus simultaneously completed. |
