This paper studies the GPS satellite signals receiving form the neighborhood of Taiwan, including L1, L2 frequency signal, and the amplitude compounded from L1 and L2 signal. We calculate the total electron content (TEC) from L1 and L2, and the scintillation index (S4) from TEC and the signal-amplitude. After data analysis, we separate the scintillation phenomenon into three categories: (1) Both the data observation of TEC and S4 find the phenomenon of scintillation. (2) The data observation of S4 find the scintillation phenomenon while the lose-lock occurs in the data observation of TEC. (3) Both the data observation of TEC and S4 find the phenomenon of scintillation and the occurrence of plasma bubble. We also analyze the scintillation phenomenon by means of seasons. At the same time, we analyze the scintillation phenomenon by means of longitude and latitude. After the data processing and analyzing, we find an obvious time difference of the observation of scintillation phenomenon between Chungli and Tainan station. Taking one step further, we use three analysis method: (1) the method of vector correction, (2) the method of virtual position correction, and (3) the method of longitude correction; we make a calculation of the drift velocity of the scintillation. We find the method of longitude correction most reliable. |
