論文名稱 西太平洋地區海洋混合層熱收支之初步分析

摘要(中) 本研究使用2000年夏季四個月(六月~九月)的海表通量、相關的海洋大氣觀測資料,以及一維混合層熱收支模式,討論西太平洋垂直混合過程相對於大尺度流場所造成的水平及垂直平流對上層海洋熱收支的影響,以及海洋混合層分佈的情形。
本研究結果顯示夏季的西太平洋由於風速較大,具有較強的潛熱、可感熱通量,加上獲得的輻射通量較少,使得由大氣輸送至海洋的淨熱通量為負值,冷卻上層海洋,此時洋面處在熱力不穩定的狀況,有較強的entrainment cooling 使混合層變深。但一維模式模擬南半球的混合層深度與觀測值比較有明顯偏高的現象。本研究進一步顯示 ,這與混合層熱收支模式裡對流調整的處理有關,當海洋表面往上的熱通量大於往下的太陽輻射時,對流調整在熱收支平衡中是很重要的,改進這部份參數化方式可增加紊流產生所導致的能量耗損,進而改善大部分混合層的分佈。
本研究除了考慮垂直混合過程之外,亦探討水平過程及大尺度運動所造成的垂直過程對熱收支的影響,藉以評估溫度平流、Ekman pumping 的相對效果。結果顯示 Ekman pumping 的作用集中在赤道地區,使赤道地區出現較淺的混合層。而南半球因為有較大的溫度梯度,使溫度平流的影響效應較大,因此加入溫度平流項可改善南半球混合層的分佈。
