In recent years, technology has changed rapidly, with social networking software becoming increasingly popular, e-businesses popping up, and Cloud technology brining about great business opportunities for servers around the world. In order to be stay competitive than other original design manufacturers (ODMs) of servers, ODMs in Taiwan need to implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems suitable for their enterprise. This study takes one domestic ODM company of servers as an example to discuss the leading-in process of the case company’s ERP implementation in overseas subsidiary company. The results show misalignments if the ERP of copy leading-in is used. However, the solutions for misalignments can cause even more problems, which can only be solved by returning to an ERP single core system approach.
ERP Roll Out strategy has been found to be suitable for the case company. This study also found that to avoid misalignment solutions becoming a problem in the next stage or prevent a domino effect, enterprises have to pay close attention to the influence that misalignments have on the organization and operation procedures. Discussion and implications of the findings conclude the research. |
