Due to the raise of the Internet, a web-based learning management system has become essential. But there are problems, the sprinkle of learning resource over the Internet and the lack of an uniform format of material, causing the hardness to search learning resources and the difficulties in organizing information. Thus, to provide a standard of authoring a sharable and reusable learning object, Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative (ADL) proposed SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) to being an international standard of e-learning system. And it had become the most popular standard among various learning management systems. In this paper, the goal is to build a SCORM-compliant system. By surveying extant learning management systems, it is noticed that the interactions between the instructor and the students are rare during on-line learning. Therefore, we introduce the Agent concept into the system. We utilize the properties of Agent to solve the problem. Furthermore, we provide a Course Aggregation Agent to help the student to get the desired learning courses in our system precisely. |
