摘要: A broadband GaAs bidirectional distributed amplifier (BDA) designed using <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">G_{m}</tex-math></inline-formula>-bandwidth (<inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">G_{m}</tex-math></inline-formula>-BW) extension technique is presented in this letter. A <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">G_{m}</tex-math></inline-formula>-BW extension configuration is investigated, and utilized in the gain stage of the BDA for enhancing gain and bandwidth performance. The isolation between forward path and reverse path is improved by using adaptive load network. The BDA exhibits small-signal gains of higher than 14.4 dB with a 3 dB bandwidth from 1.6 to 23.6 GHz.
