    Abstract: 摘要: We demonstrate an all-optical arithmetic logic unit (ALU) that is a new all-optical binary operation component structure with two-dimensional (2D) photonic crystals (PhCs), could displacement electron-chip for an ultra-compact planar light-wave integration circuit. The PhCs waveguide are composed of circular dielectric rods set in triangular lattice with suitable choice of parameters to perform this research. The behavior of the proposed logic gates is qualitatively analyzed by use of the 2D finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD). The device is a combination of ring interfere structure (RIS) and line defect coupler waveguides. Numerical simulations show that transmission power not only above 85%, but also has high distinction ratio, wider matching bandwidth, simplify structure, and potentially applicable for all-optical arithmetic logic unit (ALU) and optical supercomputing in future Cloud Computing Technologies (CCT).
